WHAT IS ECU REMAPPING?

The engine in all modern vehicles is controlled electronically by an Engine Control Unit (ECU), which is constantly processing information received from a multitude of sensors on your engine. Fuelling, ignition timing, boost if applicable, torque values, and more are all calibrated within the ECU. Together with the sensor information the relevant tables, or ‘maps’, are used to keep the engine running at optimal performance. With our software we can make modifications to the ECU producing more power (BHP and Torque) and to use less fuel or give you a blend of both for economy.

​WHAT IS A DPF CLEAN?

​

DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) onboard clean is a professional workshop service where cleaning chemicals are pumped directly into the filter to dissolve and clear out soot and carbon build up without removing the DPF from the vehicle. 

 

How it Works

Unlike simply adding a liquid cleaner to your fuel tank, an onboard clean is a targeted, mechanical procedure. 

• Application:  We access the DPF by removing a sensor and directly injecting a specialised, heavy-duty cleaning fluid into the filter.

• Soak & Break Down: The fluid is left to soak allowing the chemical break down of the thick soot and carbon blockages.

• Flushing: The vehicle is then started and run at higher RPMs to push the loosened debris out through the exhaust.

WHAT IS ADBLUE?

​

AdBlue is a non-toxic, water-based urea solution used in modern diesel vehicles to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. It is injected into the exhaust and converts pollutants into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. AdBlue consists of 32.5% high-purity synthetic urea and 67.5% deionized water. It is not made of animal urine.

Only diesel vehicles equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology require AdBlue. Check your owner’s manual to confirm if your vehicle has an AdBlue tank or you can contact us for assistance.

WHAT IF I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE?

​

• Remapping – If you are not happy with the tuning of your vehicle, we will return your vehicle back to its original file and refund you your money, no questions asked. If your remap was done by ECU removal a cost is charged for removal and replacement.

• DPF Clean – Before you have your DPF cleaned we will go through the process. In the unlikely event that your DPF level of soot and ash is of a high value (blockage) we will advise you that the clean will not provide a solution and may require an off vehicle deep clean or complete replacement. Unfortunately as we are mobile we are unable to provide that service.
