ADBLUE SOLUTIONS
An AdBlue warning light indicates your diesel vehicle's exhaust fluid is running low or that there is a malfunction in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) emission system. It’s important to address this warning, because failure to refill the tank may lead to your vehicle going into reduced power mode and in some cases the car won’t start.
WHAT THE LIGHT COLOURS MEAN
-
Amber/Yellow: Indicates the AdBlue level is low. You typically have about 1,000 to 1,500 miles of remaining range. Treat this as a prompt to refill immediately.
-
Red: The AdBlue is critically low or the system has suffered a major fault. If the engine is switched off in this state, the vehicle will refuse to restart until the tank is refilled or the system is serviced

If the light persists, the issue might be a crystallized injector, a faulty level/NOx sensor, or a failed pump. In these cases, it may require a diagnostic scanner to clear the active fault codes from the vehicle's ECU.
